Women in Business Network

The Women in Business Network is a franchised network organisation, aimed unsurprisingly at women.

Jo Curtis runs groups in South Essex and was keen to convey her vision for the 5 groups in her area.

David was delighted to be asked to make the promo for Jo, a former photographer and someone he had got to know through business networking as passionate about WIBN and “just a nice lady”.

From the first planning meeting it was decided that this would NOT be a snappy 3 minute promo but a chance for Jo to get across the advantages of WIBN and hear from members of the group. The feeling was if women are interested they will watch an extra few minutes and if we lose them along the way, they probably would not be interested enough to join. Jo wrote the script and it was decided that filming would be undertaken at one meeting and a second session to film Jo’s pieces to camera.

Having filmed at the meeting, (alas without his Red Dress and heels) David was not only very impressed at the amount of business that was being done in the room but also how some of his male networking colleagues were sending female members of staff along to great effect. He suggested to Jo that an additional segment be added with a contribution from two male business owners.
