About Us – Video Production

DSVP, David Strelitz Video Productions was established in 1983 and provides a comprehensive range of video production services including filming, editing, DVD creation, DVD duplication, web and encoding to USB media, video transfer to DVD as well as USB and a specialised cine transfer service from 8mm, 9.5mm and 16mm film. For tape archives the studio has Umatic, Beta SP, DigiBeta, DV, DVcam, HDV as well as domestic formats.

Our air conditioned studio in Basildon, Essex is comprehensively equipped providing our clients, who include multi-national companies, international production companies, advertising agencies, local authorities, regional shopping centres, national sports organisations, dance schools, photographic retailers, as well as many local companies both large and small, with a fast, efficient, friendly, one-stop personal service.

Working on the basis that “no job is too small or unimportant”, DSVP have built up a client base of both domestic and corporate clients, to whom they provide video production services. This  diverse and extensive range of video services covers everthing from copying a single video tape to making TV commercials shown on ITV regions, Sky and C4 in the UK as well as TV stations in US and Australia. It has also given David a wealth of anecdotes from some of the more bizarre work he has done…

… playing a video he had made of a manufacturing process to a High Court Judge in a closed court in London and surreally behaving as though he was an extra on Kavanagh QC.

… filming a conference piece for the second time with a Government Minister in Whitehall and being told at the end, “I will see you the next time I don’t want to go to a conference.”

… filming the actual process of a cremation for a US court case.

… sitting in a hotel room just outside Marbella where he was supposed to be making a promo of a new property development but instead watching torrential rain for two days.

…filming the simulation of a Bank Raid to test the (lack of) security on a bank counter installation. 

… filming the reconstruction of a glider accident and not only having to fly in a glider but then when being flown home from North Wales in a Cessna, being involved in a full scale emergency landing.
